Offering lessons to children from infant to kindergarten age. Learn More

Programs

The infants are introduced to the French language through music, songs and movement. They are encouraged to sing along, learn some words and be part of fun and dynamic activities.

Infant program

The preschool program builds on the toddler program. Most preschoolers will be able to talk about colours, numbers, days of the week, months of the year, seasons, what the weather is like, body parts, who and what they like and much much more. At this level, they are encouraged to say what their name is, how they are feeling, how old they are, where they live and more. As with the toddler group, we will sometimes read a book and at this level will encourage the children to fill in some of the words they may know.

Preschool program

For children who have not already participated in a French program during the early years, the kindergarten program will be the first time that they are exposed to French. It is offered during academic hours or as an after school program, depending on the school. The children learn many of the basics taught to the preschool children but with a strong emphasis on everyday conversation. It is delivered in a more accelerated manner using games as well as role play in order to make the learning experience even more dynamic, fun and engaging.

Kindergarten program

Toddlers are developing their language skills at this point and many are acquiring new words daily. It’s the perfect time to start introducing some basic words and possibly short sentences in French. The children are introduced to colours, numbers, days of the week, farm and zoo animals, body parts, how they are feeling, who they love and much more. This is brought to the children in an uplifting, dynamic and encouraging way. We use music, movement and props to encourage the toddler groups to say words and participate in the lessons. We will often read a short book that will relate to what the toddlers are learning.
